If apply 1 year o a in UK suggest avoid getting the medical insurance cover I'd avoid IMG of Redhill; totally incompetent and could only stay 75 days . Reported to their regulator and continuing complaint will go to Ombudsman.
Thanks for further advice and sorry for being a nuisance .I intend to open a Bangkok Bank account on 4 Nov using UK banknotes to open ,then contact my main pension provider for direct transfer to Thailand ,first would be early December and use UK ATM card and add to Nov deposit .Med insu cover paid monthly from U K state pension in U K bank ,balance withdrawn on that ATM and paid into Thai bank. For showing from UK presume I print on- line UK bank copy statement to satisfy Bangkok Bank ?
Thanks for your response ,my confusion compounded being visually impaired and let down In getting the Thai medical cover mandatory for 1 year oa retiree visa I obtained before 2019 .I'm due in Thailand 4 Nov and will get entry stamp in passport at airport.I would need extension to give time for appointment at U K Rmbassy for freedom to marry affidavit ,do the necessary then back to Udon Thani to marry and apply for Spouse visa .Once I leave UK Nov 3 for direct flight I have no home there _rental ceases. Can I get extension on entry stamp _ is o visa ? And obtain Udon Thani ?
I made enquiry of UK company in September with copy of the Thai Medical certificate and after a delay got it back but cover September and first premium taken ! only just got the corrected cover certificate from Globalife IMG .
Thanks Garrett but the London Royal Thai Embassy site specifically states Thai medical cover insurance is required to
*****
0Baht inpatient ,
*****
Baht outpatient mandatory for oa retiree 1 year visa with Thai Insurance certificate signed by a director of the company saying met Baht requirements and period valid 4 Nov this year to 4 Nov 2023.Certificate blurb refers to Thai Cabinet directive in early 2019 still valid for 1 year Visa applications.
Many thanks Stuart .I understand UK Embassy don't issue income affidavits but I have original pension provider and UK bank statements solicitor verified as genuine documents to prove I exceed monthly Thai figure when direct pension transfer arranged.Stuck in UK over 3 years due to covid restrictions and monthly transfers to partner for whole period ,rented in UK .
Thanks for advice Giuseppe .I cannot put 800k Baht in Thai account I open on arrival but understand income from UK my 2 pensions count as long as over the 800k Baht equivalent.intend direct transfer of main pension to Thai account direct once I have account reference.Would follow procedure for obtaining Spouse Visa while oa held .I have lawyer verified bank and pension provider statements I got for intended Embassy oa retiree application.
