For the past three months I've been having a major skin irritation issue on my neck and lower part of my face - itchy, oily red bumps everywhere. I normally don't have this problem. It started when I moved back into the hotel where I had been living for 2 years 3 months ago but in a new room. An acne solution from Eucerine and shaving after a hot shower is helping to keep it under control, but I'm wondering what's causing it. At first I thought it was my girlfriend's makeup or hair products rubbing off onto the pillow, but it still happened when we were apart for a week and I had just had the linens changed by the hotel. At this point I'm thinking it might be one of the cleaning products used by the cleaning company. Maybe they changed it recently and I'm allergic to it? I asked the staff if they could find out what cleaning products they use, but they haven't reported back yet. I'm assuming bleach because everything is bright white. Perhaps too much of it? What do you guys think it could be? Any ideas for how to tackle it? Has anyone else experienced this problem and figured out what the culprit was? Other possibilities I guess could be bacteria brought inside from my dog, a fungus or something in my room, pollutants in the air, etc. Thanks!

Just curious to think what people think of infrastructure in Thailand when comparing it to neighbouring countries like Malaysia and Vietnam? Bangkok is one hell of a city, but when Vietnam has Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh (two super cities), Da Nang, Hue etc. Malaysia has Kuala Lumpur, Johor Bahru, Ipoh, Penang etc which are all major developed cities. Seeing some of Thailand it looks like a lot of focus is pushed into Bangkok rather than elsewhere in the country. Anyone’s experience and thoughts on it?

Recent CM-Mae Sai Visa/Border Run info.

As of 21 Mar 2018 here are two details that may be of interest:

- Lots of construction on Doi Saket mountain, many detours on different parts of it, which adds perhaps 30 minutes to a busride from Chiang Mai to Mae Sai.

- This means that the standard 8am/2:30pm VIP Green Bus (which is the most comfortable mass transit option, 319 THB each way), cuts it a bit close

- Recommended to use the motorcycle taxis instead of the red truck from the Mae Sai bus station to the border. 60 THB each way instead of 15 THB each way for the red truck, which will save several minutes and help make the 2:30pm Green Bus departure, with time to spare for lunch.

- There is a new T.M.6 form being used at the border. It has nearly identical information but is smaller so it fits better in the passport page. Not sure if the old T.M.6 form is still allowed, or if this new form is at all borders/immigration offices just yet.
