TLDR : Answer Summary
A user reported being refused insurance coverage by AXA even though it clearly mentioned COVID coverage. The community provided various insights and suggestions, including checking if the correct insurance certificate was uploaded, ensuring that the coverage amount (minimum $50,000 or 3.5 million baht) is clearly visible, and highlighting critical points in the documentation. Some users shared experiences with different insurance options and emphasized the importance of reading the actual policy to confirm coverage, as well as the potential differences between AXA policies from different countries.

I almost bought one of AXA. But even though it says Covid coverage, you need to read the actual policy, because when I did, there was no mention of Covid coverage in the actual policy. (even if it does cover it). At the airport, the guy scanned my doc specifically looking for the phrase, and the amount covered for.
Is this the Allianz policy available on the Mr Prakan website, underwritten by European insurer?
If it is, it has very good benefits overall (almost like health insurance) at a very reasonable price, so if it’s accepted by the Thailand Pass system as meeting the requirements of the travel insurance covering COVID, it’s perfect!
- Ironically I got the Link from the Thai Pass Website, So I knew it was - Good / Also they told me they can cahnge dates if I have Problems - 100% Flexible and Secure - That's why I put the full covering letter for all to see - Very Cheap - :-)
Well where we are in Tak many people testing positive from Myanmar .they are isolated at home .and tested by the Tak public health .unless they are I'll their aok so long as they stay at home for 10 days .and they are fully vaccinated with the vaccine pass.?? Must be different in other parts of Thailand?
you won't be doing your entry in Tak so what they're doing there is irrelevant. Foreigners that enter through any of the programs and test positive on entry go to the hospital. Always.
Home monitoring is available if you're someone that's been in Thailand for a while and meet a specific set of criteria but this doesn't apply to new arrivals and is highly dependant upon the area you're in as well.
AXA Thailand? I remember reading last year someone bought AXA from a European country and it was not the same. The certificate that AXA Thailand sends you has all the requirements on it that the officials are looking for.
