an IDP licence is only good to drive in Thailand for 3 months from arrival. It’s better to get one as you only take a colour and perception test at the office. Easier to do it. It also puts your full driving ability on it. So if you ride a big bike they give you that here.

I have a Bangkok bank account but just walked in and opened a Kbank account with passport and Condo blue book. Easy

There are some new condo’s selling with a visa as a bonus maybe look into that. But remember if it’s a 10 year one you might have to hop around for the last 2 years

I want to use my Thai currency because I change it when the rate is good. If I use a debit or credit card from home the rate is crap

it’s not the currency it’s the limit is the problem and most people don’t know when they open their accounts. Well I thought the withdrawal amount was unlimited.

the 2 m is if you direct transfer to someone’s account. But an online payment is only 150,000 and always has been.
