So a friend has just arrived tonight and no TM 6 at the airport. So he has a condo contract here and this is his 1st time in while having a contract so does he have to report to immigration as to where he is staying within 48 hrs.

Thanks in advance

TLDR : Answer Summary
Your friend does not need to have a TM 6 card since it has been suspended for flights arriving after July 1st. However, he must register his accommodation using the TM30 form within 24 hours of arriving at his condo. This registration is typically the landlord's responsibility. The TM30 is vital for any future visa extensions or residence certificates he may need.

Tm6 is a departure card, and is temporarily suspended for flights only, arriving after July 1st.

The TM30 is required within 24 hours of arriving at your accommodation and is the responsibility.of the hotel or landlord.

One has nothing to do with other.

The only time the tm30 will come into play is if you need an extension or residents certificate for any reason.

immigration did not even ask for it. Got nothing to do with notification of where your staying. Been dropped from 1st July so the airline you went on needs to be updated
