Hi I’m on an O visa and have extended it last year so been here on what we call a retirement visa. It expires in August so how soon can I renew as I would like to go back to the Uk to see family but also need to be there for a Covid vaccine and it means I would be there for minimum 14 weeks through what would be my extension renewal. I have the money in the bank and meet all the requirements to renew it without an agent.
Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about renewing their O visa (retirement visa) that expires in August while planning to return to the UK for a Covid vaccine, which would require at least 14 weeks of stay. Comments indicate that visa renewals can generally be done 30 days before expiration, with some offices allowing renewals up to 45 days ahead. It's advised to contact the local immigration office for specific guidance, and if the user travels outside Thailand, obtaining a re-entry permit is crucial, with costs varying based on single or multi-entry visas.

You can renew up to thirty days before it expires. Be careful coming back Thai government said they do accept the vaccine done 14 days before or after six months.
You're on an extention of stay, not a visa, which you can renew generally 30 days before it expires. If you leave and return before it expires in August you'll need a re entry permit. If it expires while you're in the UK just get a Non Imm O from the Thai Embassy in London and re apply when you return to Thailand
