So I have just bought a second hand bike.

I have a residency letter from immigration.

How easy is it to do the paperwork? And go to the transport office. I already know where it is.

Thanks in advance

TLDR : Answer Summary
The process of registering a second-hand bike in Thailand appears to be straightforward. You should visit the transport office with the seller to complete the paperwork. Additionally, if you purchased the bike from a non-Thai individual, you will need a Certificate of Residency from the owner as well.

Paul Durkan. Your post said you had a Certificate of Residency. You will need a second Certificate of Resiency from the seller if he or she is non Thai. Just like I said before

He's saying if the seller is a foreigner they'll want a COE from him also.

This however was a requirement ONLY in Chiang Mai, and has since been dropped. If the seller is a foriegner, he needs his passport and a current entry stamp.

they take the paperwork and you wait 40 minutes before it’s ready. Coffee shop or massage a good idea👍🏻

you will have to get the bike inspected and have all the documents (best to have 2 copies of everything) along with your passport with eligible visa
