TLDR : Answer Summary
The community advises that the Thailand Pass is free and cautions against paying for it through scam websites. Users share their experiences in applying for the pass online, emphasizing the importance of uploading clear documentation, particularly vaccination QR codes, and suggest that while using agents like Trunk can be convenient, it is not necessary. Discussions include how long it takes to receive the pass and the procedures for submitting vaccination information.
I applied for it yesterday online and got it approved in 4 hours. Just make sure you spend the time getting all the documents uploaded in a readable format. Upload the qr codes separately for the vaccine proof where asked(its optional but do it), cropping the qr codes and make.sure not blurred etc. It took about an hour of faffing around with the images but in my opinion worth it in the end as very surprisingly it was approved in 4 hours from submission
the ones for dose 1 and 2 of vaccine on the NHS spp for proof of your vaccination status. Dont worry about any booster, they just want the QR codes of the first 2. Crop just the qr and upload each in the optional section. You need to make sure it's not blurred. I found it best to take a photo of it with my phone and crop so there is a small gap around the edges. Then emailed the photos to myself, and then dragged the photos to the bit on the screen. It should then tick away in the background and either accept each one or tell you it's invalid. I had 3 attempts on this and finally got them accepted.
some are auto generated and some are done manually. I did mine when it 1st came out and took 4 days. But stressful when you do it because you have no idea if it’s right
One indivdual who is also insurance agent and a travel company both based in thailand seem very genuine both have good reputation, but as you say plenty of sharks preying on people
yep there are sharks out there but these sites look original but you do all the work you would do on the original and get charged. Many people think you have to pay and most of these sites are not based in Thailand
