Hi myself and 3 friends are thinking of doing the Phuket sandbox. We would like to book a house for the two weeks. Does anyone know if this is possible?

TLDR : Answer Summary
Travelers need to stay in SHA Plus certified hotels for the two weeks in the Phuket Sandbox program, which means booking a house is not permitted. Some options like villas are available, but they must meet the SHA Plus certification.

SHA certified has been around for a while before covid. SHA plus is where facilities meet the standards of SHA plus 70 % of the staff are vaccinated.

You will not get your COE approved unless you are staying in a SHA plus hotel.

Book through agoda. Airbnb is not always good. Change the filter to villa. That’s how I got the cheap deal 🙂

my wife used to manage a company that did all the back end services for agoda, expedia sabre etc.

Always best to check all and booking.com, there are a few other tricks as well to getting great deals but keep them to ourselves
