Weekends do take a few days, during week it’s almost instant. ( in my experience)

Every branch of each bank is different in my experience Some want the earth and more. Kungthai just passport showing visa , phone with Thai number , driving licence , tm30.

it looks like different immigration offices ask for different things. My first and all 90 day reporting ( Roi-Et ). Just wanted passport. They check it’s my passport. Log it on line , piece of paper cloth next 90 days on. Then off you go. Never been more than 5 minutes.

In my experience, each branch of each bank is different , most not knowing what is needed. From a yellow book marriage certificate etc. to Thai driving licence tm30 passport with non O visa.

I had my Bangkok bank frozen, the staff in my local bank ( roi-et ) were clueless , trying to read off some sheets , Said I needed blue book from owning house in my name , ( when I tell them farang cannot own ! They just looked at each other ). Yellow book, marriage certificate , ++++++. Open in Krungthai bank. Tm30 uk and Thai driving licence passport showing non immigrant O Visa. 30 minutes and done , when I closed the Bkk bank they said I should not do it as I will need for visa , I closed. Once I had my cash out. I pulled out my Krungthai card and book , said I go pay this into decent bank. ( ps the lady dealing with it in bkk bank was a personal friend of my wife ! ). Bkk bank. Hopeless

It looks like immigration is saying , if you want to come here for long period get right visa .
