I went to jomtien immigration today to ask about the deposits coding issues. Spoke to the officer at window 8. He basically said bangkok bank isnt entirely cooperative with immigration anymore. He said quote. Kasikorn better. Im going tomorrow to the Kasikorn international desk on Pattaya klang to request a credit advice letter on my September transfer, was quoted 200 baht. does kasikorn code their incoming wise transfers as international? I will inquire about that before opening a new account.
How is everyone in Thailand? I hope you are doing well. I wanted to ask if I could transfer 40,000 euros from my Spanish account to my Thai account using WISE. I can prove that this money is mine in many ways, although my question would be: will there be any impediment from WISE in making the transfer to my Thai account? My purpose is because the time has come for me to pay for my marriage visa, so I need to transfer European money to Thailand and start with the paperwork process. Thank you very much everyone, and I hope you are doing well.
Wise to Bangkok Bank showing as ‘DEP TRF FR E-CH’ instead of ‘FTT’ even after selecting “Funds For Long Term Stay”! WTF BBL thanks for once again making life difficult.
Anyone do a transfer lately through WISE to Bangkok Bank. I looked at my bankbook at it was coded as a Cash Deposit. I pulled up the transaction on WISE and it clearly states Funds for Thailand. Is Bangkok Bank not coding FTT for foreign transactions anymore?
I have decided that for my 2nd retirement extension next year that I will use the 65,000 baht monthly deposit method. What I would like to know is what do you use for your reference number when you are using Wise for your monthly transfers? (the transfers are marked as international funds transfer already).
My second question is has anyone had any problems in the last month getting a full year print out and yearly bank letter from Bangkok Bank lately? Thank you.
Reporting latest experience. Yesterday transferred the monthly 65000 baht from my Australian bank account via Wise (Funds for longstay in Thailand) to my Bangkok Bank account. Transfer initiated at 9:40am, funds arrived in Bangkok Bank account sometime between 12:30 and 12:50pm correctly noted on the account as an international transfer, for immigration purposes. Transferred funds for rent and internet at around 1:30pm. Used QR Promptpay scan four times between 4:00pm and 8:00pm.
At 2:30pm ordered 12-month statement from bank app (for immigration purposes this coming week), which arrived via email at 4:30pm.
I'm on non-O retirement extension, BB customer for eight years.
Absolutely no problems, account not frozen or suspended.
Bangkok Bank and Wise not quite the ogres which some are suggesting!
I bank with Krungsri. For years I have maintained a 800k balance. I would like to switch to the 65k per month option. I use Wise to transfer monies to my Krungsri account. I always select the 'funds for long term option'. How can I be sure my transfers meet Immigration requirements?
Something going down with bank accounts today. Seen several posts across the visa groups. Not sure if it’s a particular bank specific thing or what. The posts mention about the banks closing accounts of people not on long term visas.
If anyone has information as to what’s going on then please share.
