Hi all hope you can help. I visited Thailand for two weeks in February and seven weeks June/ July on visa except ( Irish passport). I may have to come over for another week or two in September/ October. Would it be safer to apply for tourist visa next time. Planning on doing retirement non O next year
Good morning, i have to organise my trip out of Thailand next week
At the expiry of my current visa exemption extension, it will be 3 month and a week before i reachi 50 yo.
First question that i have to find an answer to is how many days left on Visa exemption extension are needed after turning 50 to be able to apply for a retirement non-o.visa.
Because I have to choose between either doing 2 one day trip border bounce OR doing only one trip out but stay several days abroad.
Hi, i am going to apply for the yearly O retirement Visa using the monthly 65.000 transfer system soon. ( Currently doing the 800.000 system.
Q- what do you guys do if you are out of Thailand as far as the 65.000 transfer every month. Do you stop the transfer while you are away, or do you have to transfer 65.000 every month regardless of where you are? Thanks.
Hi guys, im about to follow my boyfriend in thailand. I work remotely for a chinese company who pays me on France. Is the dtv doable in my case ? What if within the 5 years dtv you stop freelancing ? Thanks !!
Hi - I am on my first year extension of stay after having a type O retirement visa. I maintained the 800k balance for 2 months prior to and 3 months after the extension was granted. And after that it can drop no lower than 400k and I have kept it well above that.
My question:
Prior to applying for the next (second) year extension, I understand the balance needs to be 800K again -
for at least 2 months prior to application for renewal?
Or is it 3 months?
Reading the sheet from the immigration office looks like 2 months, while I see 3 months stated on other web sites. There is one site that says "keep in mind the next extension requires 3 months prior, unlike the first one", while the immigration office printout only describes '2 months prior and 3 months after'
Is it possible to enter Thailand from the US as a tourist with passport but no visa, get married right away, apply for the non-o visa, open a bank account and deposit the 400k thb, wait 60 days, then get a marriage extension before I'd need to leave the country? Hope this makes sense!
