Wannikea Wanblee great comment.

In my case in the last 31 years I have had one wife 6 jobs and too many appointments to mention. I am on a marriage extension, do you think this is this the correct one for me?

I just had a similar experience with my 90 day report.

I had applied for my extension based on marriage.

On the date they had given me at the end of the pending period I went back in to immigration but was told that they were still waiting for authorisation from Bangkok and would call me.

A week went by and I was due to do a 90 day report. By this time my permission to stay had expired in my passport.

The Immigration officer couldn't do my 90 day report because on the system I was on overstay.

It was resolved by my new extension being stamped in and 90 day report issued.

I always do my 90 day reporting in person.

I think you are saying that you will get your yellow book for a house you don't actually live in. This may cause you a problem with immigration if you apply for an extension from the house that you don't actually live in. The photos you need for the application can be staged but you may have a problem when immigration visit.

1. Immigration don't usually give you a time and date they will visit. So you may have to stay at the house for several days.

2. Immigration will be looking for signs that you are genuinely living there. So a lot of staging will be needed.

Charles Hallam you are absolutely correct I lived through every month getting less and less as I am paid in GBP. When it dropped below 38 I was seriously considering going back to work.

The GBP has recovered since but still not to pre BREXIT referendum levels.

I have lived in Thailand for almost 10 years and I haven't witnessed massive inflation. I have though witnessed big swings in the British Pound against the Thai Baht.

So I turned to Google for help. This is what it told me.

In the 10 years between 2015 and 2025, Australia experienced an average inflation rate of 2.80% per year, resulting in a cumulative price increase of 31.85%.

Over the ten years leading to 2024–2025, inflation in Thailand has remained very low, averaging around 1.1%.

Now it has to be said that I don't live in one of the big foreign tourist hotspots but Hua Hin is close by. The inflation figures feel about right for local Thai products and services. But imported goods seem to have rocketed. For example North Atlantic Cod is over twice what I was paying 10 years ago.

No you definitely don't need a return ticket.

I won't name the airline but I once had an issue at check in flying out of Manchester. I just held my ground and asked to see a supervisor. The supervisor was more knowledgeable on Thai visas and I was allowed to fly. A school day for that check in agent.
