I need a visitor visa for my girlfriend. I will be there beginning of November for 6 months and want to bring her back to Canada at the end of April for 6 months. Is it possible? Is there someone who can help me with this?
3rd time entering this year on the dtv visa (I left Thailand about 3 weeks ago to go back to Europe)
Transferred through Bangkok svb (final destination Chiang Mai)
I had my current bank statements etc ready (as I’ve seen some posts in here recently that immigration officers were ‘grilling’ everyone on a dtv)
Immigration officer looked at my dtv, didn’t ask for DTAC (I’m assuming when they scan the visa qr code or visa number that it shows up on their system)
No questions asked, no words even exchanged, stamped for the correct time - easy.
I'm planning on leaving Canada and visit family in EU for 2-3 months (I have citizenship there but not residency). After that I'd like to move to Thailand on a DTV.
I think it makes sense for me to apply from Canada before leaving but what's the risk of applying right before going to EU? I don't plan on returning to Canada before going to Thailand and from what I understand I'm supposed to be in the country from which I am applying from?
I have a friend who is 19, and he's here in Thailand with his father. His passport is absolutely full of stamps because he used to go to school in Gibraltar when he lived in Spain.
The problem now is that he's overstayed his visa, and he wasn't able to get an extension because his passport is literally out of space for any more stamps.
The extension was due on the 29th of July, and now it's the 11th. So we're looking at the best route to get him a new passport and to help him renew his visa and extend it before the end of the month.
We’re also considering just paying the overstay fine and then having him fly out of the country and return to Thailand on a tourist visa again.
In Chiang Mai, so thinking Flight to Vietnam.
But whats the most rapid way to get a new passport with space
Hi Guys… I’m a UK Passport holder. I am currently in Chiang Mai. my tourist visa expires in a couple of weeks. I’m trying to work out which of the neighbouring countries is easiest to travel to and apply for a DTV from using the soft power option. I’m considering travel routes, ease of application process, speed, cost etc. I was going to book a 2 week stay somewhere but seems it might not be necessary as I’ve noticed some applications are processed in 3 or 4 days in some cases. I’d appreciate any advice you can offer. Thanks in advance
Hi, I applied last week for an METV from UK which has been approved and issued today ( only took 3 days) I am not arriving until 8 June (which my documents showed that were submitted) however my Visa states valid from 24 March until 19 September 25.
Does the Visa mean I have between the dates to arrive in Thailand and my Visa will be ‘active’ from the arrival stamp date and I can travel in and out of Thailand as a tourist for 6 months from that arrival date (8 June) or does it mean it’s ‘active’ from today until September?
I'm in Thailand on a 12-month retirement visa but travel overseas about half of the time. Given that I foresee my travel pattern continuing for the foreseeable future and that I am unlikely to remain in Thailand for more than 60 consecutive days, is it even necessary to renew my retirement visa? If I can get a 60-day entry stamp every time I enter Thailand, I would be tempted to just let my retirement visa expire.
