They want a sponsor letter for my spouse. Is this acceptable? Ai says it should but I’d rather hear from someone who submitted and received dependent visa!

Subject: Sponsorship Letter for [Spouse’s Full Name] – Dependent of DTV Holder

Dear Sir/Madam,

I, [Sponsor’s Full Name], holder of the Destination Thailand Visa (DTV), Visa Number [DTV Visa Number], valid until [Visa Expiry Date], passport number [Sponsor’s Passport Number], currently residing at [Current Address in the USA], am writing to sponsor my spouse, [Spouse’s Full Name], passport number [Spouse’s Passport Number], as my dependent under the DTV program.

I accept full financial responsibility for my spouse during their stay in Thailand, including covering all living expenses. This includes:

1. Accommodation costs, ensuring my spouse has a suitable place to live during their stay in Thailand.

2. Food and personal expenses, covering all groceries and meals necessary to support my spouse’s daily needs.

3. Transportation costs, for both local travel within Thailand and any required long-distance travel.

4. Healthcare expenses, covering any medical costs that may arise during their stay.

5. Repatriation costs, should my spouse need to return to their home country for any reason.

We are financially stable, with one account containing [XXXX USD/THB], which more than meet the financial requirements. I confirm that my spouse will not be a financial burden on the government of Thailand.

To demonstrate my ability to support my spouse financially, I have included the following documents:

• My bank statements from the past 3 months, showing a balance exceeding the required amount in [THB/USD].

• A copy of my DTV approval letter.

• The letter from my company explaining my ability to continue work during our travels, which was used to secure my DTV.

• Our marriage certificate.

• Additional proof of income, (if either person receives VA/SSDI/Pension, or some other remittance that will add the the ability to support).

I have also included a copy of my DTV visa and my passport biodata page. My spouse understands and agrees to comply with all Thai immigration laws. We intend to utilize the visa for frequent trips in and out of the country and longer stays. We will ensure that we do not overstay and will meet all required reporting guidelines.

If you need any further information or have any questions, please feel free to contact me at [Phone Number] or [Email Address].

I trust that the attached documents will meet the requirements for sponsoring my spouse, [Spouse’s Full Name], as my dependent under the DTV program. I confirm that all the information provided is accurate.

Sincerely,

[Sponsor’s Handwritten Signature in blue ink]

Recently changed to a Non-O. I asked about being able to leave the country and I was told if I left before the first 90 days I might not be allowed back in. Was told exits could be discussed after the first 90 days. Nowhere in the process was mentioned a single or multiple entry visa. The reality is I only want to be here for maybe 5 months out of the year, leaving when it gets too toasty for me. It seems Thailand leaves entry up to the discretion of Immigration. Can someone add a bit of clarity to this for me? Thanks.

Hello, I have received my 90 day non O visa today via email but the start day is from today for 90 days. I wasn’t planning on going to mid April and put my intended travel dates as this on the application. Do they stamp this visa when I arrive and therefore get 90 days from them ?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. 🙏

Has anyone ever made 90-days report? Agents/Brokers are saying that DTV visa holders do not need to do 90 days report. Such exemption is not mentioned in the official website; the immigration officer did not attach a white paper for 90 days notification to my passport though.
