@Goodd ******
some year ago the Bangkok immigration 90 day registration told me that no if you coming back to your main address then you don't need to do it again.

The last time I renewed they asked me to do the new registration of the five years maybe because I've changed passports (twice) already....

How about you write an article about how does a foreigner open a bank account to get the retirement extension which requires the transfer of 800k?

As of this moment only Bank of Bank seems to be able to do it but with all the new rules they seem to be refusing it?

The problem in the first place seems to be able to use an agent to open accounts which otherwise shouldn't be open by the bank?

But implies the corrupt system already. Maybe start in that end?

I see we're not going to get any further in this discussion...

The post that you say isn't about the 60 day except entry about the rules for the Visa actually your post talks more about the sixty day entry then it talks about the Visa....

But your explicitly saying that you don't need proof of 20,000 for free 60 day exempt entry, but on raality you actually need to have 20,000 equivalent.... And yes it's very seldomly asked unless you bounce a lot, or are they looking for a reason to not let you in.

It seems impossible to convince you that that statement you made seems to say that you don't need 20,000. Yes you don't need to proof of it you just need to have it. But isn't that a physical proof in itself?

That's fine

your group.

yes and this information would be better placed in the head of the post that in the comments ;-)

The post itself does not make it clear that you need to have 20,000 in cash.

@James *******
so this post is confusing as it seems to say you don't need the 20,000....

Yes the devil is in the details about proof of 20,000 in the bank when you apply for Visa but to make this very clear it could be worded differently regarding non-exempt entry...

@Shai *******
if you have the right Visa and you have the money in the thai bank for 2 months and you can prove that it was a wired to Thailand you probably can apply for the extension directly when you're here.

A simple Google search will tell you about it is illegal.

This is why the DTV visa was created to make it legal...

****************************************************

Now generally the consensus is as long as you don't talk about it don't do it openly and you're not paid in Thailand and your employer is another country... You might be under the radar...

Interesting as it is actually illegal for you to work in Thailand even if it's for remote company and being paid in another country so the tourist visa is only for tourist leisure reasons....
