Are there specific requirements for the 65,000 transfer into my account each month for the next 12 months? I probably will use Wise from my USA account. Do I remember reading something about how it has to be labeled?

Relative to the many posts about opening a bank account, the rules have indeed changed and tightened up. I have been a resident of Thailand on a Non-OA visa for ten years, and have two Bangkok Bank accounts- my original one in Bangkok, and the second of which I opened 3 years ago in Jomtien Pattaya. I was only asked for my passport and visa for that one, but today I tried to open a new one in Sa Kaeo to use for my visa renewal in the Immigration Office in Aranyaprathep in August. They informed me that they now require a letter from Immigration, which if I understood correctly is a Certificate of Residence. I plan to do that next week. Any tips on what will be required?

Just got rejected in Hanoi 🤣 Workation path

Provided everything they asked for, have no idea why they didn't like me :(

Maybe because I showed them 500k THB on my Thai bank account? Or that I put 500k there just 2 days before application

But the proof of income that I showed them was from my home country bank. Have all documents, etc. no idea

Will try to apply again in Jakarta LOL

Hello everyone.

I am an American. I am planning my retirement and will marry a Thai national soon. My question is, is it possible to have my retirement income deposited into a Thai bank account? Also when I'm eligable, the same for Social security? Is it easy to open a bank account in Thailand, Hua Hin? Any advise or exerience is welcome.

Hi, so I will go for soft power Medical in Vientiane. What's you expirence with application and receiving the visa? I am retired live from my funds so no monthly income. Is that a problem but have a big amount in the thai bank account? My current visa finish at 25th March, when should I apply?

Am I correct in assuming that if I opt for the 65,000B per month as opposed to the 800,000B option then there is no need to open up a Thai bank account.

Here's the E-Visa link

Did not keep updated. My non O visa 90 day + 60 day extension for visiting child ends next week.

Looking around it looks like I have to leave even before applying for new Visa?

Any potential work arounds or advice on this?

Info suggests long waits in neighbour countries like laos.

Hi! My non-o marriage visa will expire on 7.12.24 and until now, I had no idea I can just extend it without leaving Thailand!

Is there a time limit for the extention? And as I understand from other posts, every immigration office has their own rules? I'm going to visit the one in Sriracha tomorrow. Please give me a few advices before I go there😅🙏
