Today I got the approval for the 90-day Non-O (retirement). Thanks again to all who helped with my previous questions. One more: it says it is valid until August 30. Am I correct in thinking this means I need to enter the country by that date, and I will still have 90 days after arrival?

I entered Thailand a month ago on a Non-Immigrant O visa, but haven’t transferred the 800K THB yet. Due to a change in circumstances, I need to return to my home country next month and stay for about two months. Because of this, I don’t plan to transfer the funds until I return to Thailand. Will this cause any issues when I apply for the same type of visa again soon?

Ok.. so I’m here on 60 day visa exempt and want to get a Non O retirement visa(90 days and extend for one year)

If understand correctly I can apply online using evisa while here and once I have the confirmation email, print it out and do a boarder run and this then gets stamped for 90 days?

Hi everyone. I am planning on moving to Thailand shortly, marrying my girlfriend then living here on a marriage visa. Two questions.

Which visa should I enter Thailand on?

Would I have any problem entering on a one way plane ticket?

Thanks

Hello, I am researching and planning my retirement to Thailand and I am undecided on whether to apply ahead of time while still in California (Type "OA" visa) or while already within Thailand (Type "O") via a tourist visa. From my research I am still not clear on a few topics:

1) To prove that I meet the 65k baht monthly soc. sec. payments.

Is this requirement for showing monthly deposits to my US bank

or to a Thai bank account?

2) If I need a Thai bank account to have my soc. sec monthly direct

deposit set up, how is it possible to open a Thai bank account

ahead of time? Is it possible to open a bank account on my next

vacation trip by using an agent?

3) For applying for a type "O", why is it required to have a return

flight itinerary? I imagine that I will need to make sure the return

flight is refundable when I book my flight to Thailand.

Thanks in advance for any help with the above,

Carlos

Are there specific requirements for the 65,000 transfer into my account each month for the next 12 months? I probably will use Wise from my USA account. Do I remember reading something about how it has to be labeled?

Relative to the many posts about opening a bank account, the rules have indeed changed and tightened up. I have been a resident of Thailand on a Non-OA visa for ten years, and have two Bangkok Bank accounts- my original one in Bangkok, and the second of which I opened 3 years ago in Jomtien Pattaya. I was only asked for my passport and visa for that one, but today I tried to open a new one in Sa Kaeo to use for my visa renewal in the Immigration Office in Aranyaprathep in August. They informed me that they now require a letter from Immigration, which if I understood correctly is a Certificate of Residence. I plan to do that next week. Any tips on what will be required?
