How can I make an appointment for a visa extension for teachers and students in Thailand given that all slots appear to be booked?

Hi everyone, trying to make a visa extension appointment for Chaengwattana under the "Extension visa for Teachers and Students in Public Educational Institutions" category. However, it shows all of May and June 2025 completely full; I cannot click on any individual day whatsoever. I find it hard to believe that they are fully booked, so thinking this is likely some kind of glitch? Or perhaps they closed the system over this past long weekend and have yet to reopen / reactivate it? Any insight Tod Daniels? Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is experiencing difficulty making an appointment for a visa extension for teachers and students at the Chaengwattana immigration office, as all dates in May and June 2025 appear to be fully booked. Other commenters suggest that the system might be working correctly but is simply overloaded given the busy season for schools. They recommend checking for cancellations after midnight, which is when new slots may become available.

Everything is fully booked๐Ÿ˜… but sometimes people cancel their queues. Those openings appear in the system at midnight every day, so it might be worth checking. If you do, don't be late๐Ÿ˜… set an alarm for 00:00, because many people are hunting down those time slots๐Ÿ™ˆ

I see. However, there is the additional option of the new "E-Extension" service, right? It's more or less the same thing as making an appointment, except you submit all docs / pay 1,900 baht fee + 500 baht processing fee, but then you still have to go to the office (2nd floor?) to pick it up, right?

you certainly could use the eExtension process because it'll be far faster than showing up out there to queue up with the zombie horde in section N ๐Ÿ˜‰

AND

IMHO would not be a wasted 500 baht at all ๐Ÿ˜›

I would 100% have to agree ๐Ÿ˜… Thank you as always for your insight, Tod.

it's that extension process run by VFS Global for the immigration office, the minimum "service fee" is 500 baht, plus the 1900baht extension,

You apply upload your documents, pay wait for them to approve it and tell you when you go to the 3rd floor of Building B at the government complex with all your paperwork and then they put the eExtension sticker in your passport

you go here once it's approved (its really the 3rd floor because the main immigration office is located on the 2nd floor (even though you walk right into that floor from outside ๐Ÿ˜ฎ )

It's a busy time now. All schools are getting their teachers' visas done. Thai schools just starting a new academic year and international schools coming to the end of theirs in June/July.

yep, I know one teacher who was up at midnight to snap an appt booking when the next day became available a month in advance ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

You can only book an appt out one month (that's all that is available at any given time)

SO as of today you could be able to book until June 12th

All the appts are booked up for that extension type. ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

You can go online just after midnight tonight when the 13th of June comes up and snap up an appt then.

The system is working fine..

You can check it's working by selecting something that no one really makes an appt for ๐Ÿ˜› (like a certificate of residence) and looking at the openings available ๐Ÿ™‚

see they have openings for almost every day until the 12th ๐Ÿ™‚
