Frangipani Annie great that it worked. Any learning points from this? Just submit even if some mandatory fields are greyed out?

I used the pink id card I/o passport as documentation for driver’s license. Don’t like passport being handled by others, have had a page torn by a careless clerk in a bank once.

For the yellow book I used the owner + his wife + a government employee they found as witness, went smoothly but took some time due to holidays

thanks for your information. I just thought, and now obviously mistaken, that CoR = yellow book and as I understand CoR is valid for 30days whereas no expiry on yellow book. So every time I needed to show residence I would need a new CoR. Ok, don’t think big deal to get from immigration, house lease - TM30 - visa sticker/stamp

once the account is approved and active, ATM card, debit only not credit, can be issued on the spot. My savings account at Kbank yields 0.25% interest, payable June and December, minus withholding tax, I think 15%. With the high inflation we have now, money sitting in a savings account is loosing purchasing value

Just went to Kbank and checked. Customer service lady confirmed that for mobile app sim name and account name must match and long term visa is required for bank account. She entered my details in the bank system which have changed lately, I have just been issued TP Gold and have changed name of sim to my own name, and confirmed no further action required

She was however not aware of any drastic actions planned for accounts not strictly in line with tightened rules
