the work permit is a consequence of the investment not the reason, I will be traveling back home this summer regardless of the visa so I might as well do the correct procedure.

If you have no other choice than to go

outside then probably your only option is to go back to your home country the unknow is how long it will take you to be able to enter back. No one can help you on that.

it's for my wife, my situation is ok. She just got an non immigrant O visa 90 days, and she needs to apply for a visa to another country the embassy here says that they need an extension of stay to grant her the visa she needs I have explained that can happen only in about two months and the asked to see the formal regulation, I have looked on the immigration web site but couldn't find anything, this is why I asked here if anyone has it, thanks
