So went to immigration at Chaeng Whatthana government complex to get my non imm o (guardian) visa extension and my kids ed visa extension I wasn’t sure if I had all the paperwork so went without kids... I arrive late as needed to get school papers. I arrived at 11:30 and had number 264 and were serving 33.... at 14:30 they were serving 91 and was losing hope, then out of the blue someone gave me 139 as they were leaving. I got in at 16:15 so 15 minutes before they close. The above to say if you get a number over 150 / 155 I believe you will not be served. My paper work was in order without a document so in any case I would have had to come back.
Below is what is required, if you are all expat and having a non imm o visa based on your children education studying in Bangkok below list is for parents and children hope it covers everything:
1. Children have to be present and your visa is done only AFTER the child ED one is completed
2. School (educational institution) paperwork for children and for yourself
3. Original passports with immigration card WITH photocopies signed
4. TM 7 filled up with picture
5. The Acknowledgment of Penalties for Visa Overstay for each applicant filled up
6. Acknowledgment of terms and conditions for permit of temporary stay in the kingdom of Thailand for each applicant filled up
7. Bank Book updated showing a deposit of 500,000 baht for one month from the day you apply for extension this is worth noting the officer clearly told me to update the book on Monday when I come back and on that day the 500,000 have to be there even if they have been there for over one month, photocopy of all pages of the book
8. Bank Guarantee (this is what I was missing) she wrote it to me in Thai to show the bank
9. Original birth certificates of the children if not in English then translated and authenticated (Italy issues multi language that are fine).
10. Immigration Fees:
Visa extension: 1900 THB/person
Re-entry permit
Single entry: 1000 THB/person
Multiple entry: 3800 THB/ person
The officer was very kind, and signed me a note to get back to her on Monday without having to do the queue again.
Hope above helps..
