Sharing experience on extension of stay for non imm O based on guardian of expat child studying in Bangkok at Chaengwattana. Had all the papers got number 106 at 8:27 said expect time 11:57. Noticed immediately that numbers where moving very fast entered an hour earlier than expected moved very fast once inside (considering I forgot to do two photocopies so had to go down and do them) by 11:30 was out of the place. Compared to last time I was there many more counters and differentiation from the type of extension you require. The TM30 is barely considered had mine done online and landlord did not enter the date we arrived in Thailand just the registration date was showing, no questions asked. I saw a real change in efficiency and speed! Much less of a nightmare than previously.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The experience shared involves a successful extension of a Non-Immigrant O visa at the Chaengwattana Immigration Office in Bangkok, where the process was notably efficient. The user arrived early and was able to complete the extension by 11:30, despite a delay due to forgetting photocopies. Improvements in the immigration process were highlighted, including faster service and better organization with more counters available for different visa types. Comments from others confirmed further improvements in procedures, such as pre-vetting of documents which can expedite the process.

Has section N also speeded their extension procedures?

yes it’s the same as it’s tied to the child visa that is an Ed extension

nope sorry to say Section N-1 & N-2 (ed visas, and teachers) still moves at a snails pace :(

They really revamped how they do the process there with someone "pre-vetting your paperwork in section L then sending you to another officer.

A friend got his retirement extension done in less than 5 minutes BUT then it took 45 minutes to get the passport back because they have to be signed off of by the section head and they were in a meeting.
