TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is currently on a Non-Immigrant O visa in Bangkok for 90 days as a guardian and is seeking advice on extending their visa. Comments suggest that while a 60-day extension for family visit is available, the long-term yearly extension requires a bank deposit of 500,000 baht for a minimum period.

The first year you get your yearly extension based on raising foreign kids here you only need the 500K baht in the bank for 30 days.

Hang about. Do you have a guardian visa based on raising half thai children? <- that 60 day extension is good ONLY for visiting thai family (thai wife or half thai children).

nope, it doesn't work like that.

You're confusing a how a 90 day single entry visa and a year-long multi-entry visa work.

You got a single entry 90 day Non-O visa. It's good for one entry of 90 days, period end of story.

All a re-entry permit would do is let you leave/come back during that 90 days and get you stamped back in for the original expiration date.

It doesn't add any days to your admitted until stamp.

you needed to buy a year-long multi-entry Non-O visa from the get go. there's no way to add time to the 90 day single entry one you have other than by getting a yearly extension of stay.

thanks very much for your help in this, I have another quick question this is 90 days single entry and I can purchase a re-entry or make it multiple, does this mean that if I leave on the 15th of October and come back after 10 days do I get another 90 days stay from the 25th October ?

there is NO extension available to you for 30 or 60 days. You either go for the year extension or you go out of the country and get a new 90 day single entry Non-O and start over.

Tullio, then you can't get a 60 day visit family extension :/

You want an extension based on raising foreign kids here and the 60 day extension isn't for that. :(

you could get a 60 day extension to visit family, the wife or child would need to accompany you.
