TLDR : Answer Summary
You can travel out of Thailand with your 90-day Non-O visa, but you'll need a re-entry permit and must return before the visa expires to apply for an extension. To extend your visa, you need to meet financial requirements and submit the application with proper documentation, which may take 30 days for consideration. If you need to travel during this period, a re-entry permit is again necessary, and additional permits are required for further travel after you secure the yearly extension.

Seeing as you have a 90 day single entry Non-O visa there's nothing that stops you from traveling out of the country; other than you'd need a re-entry permit AND you'd need to be back BEFORE the 90 day stamp expires so you can apply for a yearly extension.

Once you apply for the extension by meeting the financial requirements of 500K baht banked in a thai bank account in your name only for 30 days prior to your application and submitting the proper documentation the application will go under consideration for 30 days before you go back and get the year extension inked into your passport.

IF you need to travel during that 30 days you'd need another re-entry permit, and then once you get the year extension IF you're going to travel during that year you'd need one more re-entry permit. That's because re-entry permits are only valid for the current stamp you have in your passport.

If you ask about your visa options after the initial 90 days, it would be helpful to know why you got this Non Immigrant O visa and the age of the children.

If you want clear answers you're going to have to realize that people need information from you. Visas/extensions are convoluted at best and without the correct information you're gonna get bad advice.

You're always free to wander on over to the immigration office and get the hand out that gives you the documentation and the paperwork required to get a yearly extension based on raising foreign children here. ;)

The non immigrant visa does not allow me to work in Thailand but I do work therefore being stuck does represent a problem I didn’t think I should have given a detailed account of my life while asking a question, thank you for clarifying it though that I appreciate very much

There are worst things in life than being stuck on the place where you want to live for a while. But for the first 90 days you can also buy a Single Re-Entry permit for 1.000 Thb or the Multiple Re-Entry permit for 3.800 Thb. Be aware the re-entry permit is only valid during the admitted to stay period. On return in Thailand you will get when using this re-entry permit the same Admitted untill date as you had in your passport.

Tullio Ferri you can get a re-entry permit (multi - if required) from immigration or at the airport if you want to travel and maintain your visa

That means that I am stuck in Bangkok for at least 60 days and I cannot travel at all?

On arrival you get 90 days of stay. After 60 days you visit with school papers, copies passport etc Immigration Office and apply for the 1 year Extension of Stay. If stamped in your passport you directly apply for a multiple re-entry permit and you can leave and come back as much as you want. On every entry you will get the same date as stamped in the Extension of Stay. 30 days before this ends you apply for a new Extension of Stay.

Ok yes that I know, the 90 days is single entry is there any option to renew or leave and come back or converting it to multiple or can it be renewed?

School will provide the papers needed to apply for Extension of Stay for the ED visa of the Children. They also need a to provide a letter for you. You can ask the school to do all in the same time.
