Anonymous participant 430 as teeth implants can be quite a straightforward procedure, I would stress that you’re looking to take time with your recovery and looking to spend that time in Thailand. Whilst a tooth implant doesn’t take too long to do full healing recovery can take six months so you spending six months in Thailand makes more sense for the DTV as opposed to you just coming over for a one-day procedure and then requesting a five-year visa for it. I hope that helps and makes sense and I’m happy to answer any questions you have if I can be of help.

Unlikely to affect your application in all honesty. Just strange it's taken so long from London. Even with the English and Thai holidays most are approved quite quickly. Wishing all the best for you.

Anonymous participant 430 literally all the above you mentioned. It can be cosmetic such as an augmentation, it could be a bypass, it could be a new set of Veneers for your teeth. As long as it is a medical procedure paid for and taking place in Thailand it could be an option. Always best to reach out to the facilitator doing the procedure directly though and advise you’ll be looking to a DTV for it. Also worth noting something like a single tooth removal may be rejected as it won’t really warrant a five year DTV… that said, I’m sure somebody knows someone who managed it 😅🤷🏾‍♂️

London tends to be 5-7 working days judging by others in this group who also went the UK route. Can be quicker (mine was two days) can be longer (heard people wait three weeks)

Brit here.

Proving location is simple and you can provided a council tax letter, utility bill, drivers license, picture of you outside the house and a bank statement. All matching the same address will do wonders and negate any need for additional document requests for that part.

As for leaving, the official answer is no. You must stay in the same country you applied from until the process is complete. If in the UK when you apply you must remain there until the process is complete and you have an answer on your visa application.

Hope this helps and best of luck 😊

I agree As many have already said, photocopy and picture of it on your phone should more than suffice 😊👌🏾

Utility Bill, drivers license with address, picture in front of your address and a bank statement with the matching address. Always better to ‘oversupply’ in these circumstances as it reduces the chance of them asking for additional documents if you’ve supplied loads of relevant ones first time round in your initial application.

Not a necessity if you have a DTV and TDAC already just fill in the mandatory sections and what is optional you can leave

I would book a fully refundable option and use that as a placeholder. You can always adjust later if your plans change but at least you will have in place a formal document for your Accomodation on your application.

I applied and was approved in London, but did it all online. It’s then up to the officials at the embassy to decide whether or not they want to bring you in for an interview or request additional documentation. I had the balance for longer than three months, but I have heard people be approved having the balance transferred in the same day and I’ve also heard people being rejected by not having it for long enough so again that is likely down to whoever’s reviewing your application.

Personally, I would recommend supplying as many documents as possible as part of your application , take a look through the group and see what additional documents have been requested and then you supply them as part of your initial application to try and speed it up. The only thing that may trip you up is not having held the balance long enough but again that’s purely down to whoever’s reviewing your application.
