For 🇬🇧 DTV Holders; if you have your own business (I’m British) but business is American registered. How do you prove 3. Current location (I’m in UK) 5 purpose of visit.

And can I travel out of England after I’ve applied. What is the specific rule on the DTV? Ie; you cannot enter Thailand AT all till you’re approved as an example.

TLDR : Answer Summary
British holders of the DTV (Digital Nomad Visa) must provide proof of their current location while applying, which can include documentation like council tax bills and utility bills that display the same address. It is crucial to remain in the UK during the visa processing period; leaving the UK after submitting the application is not permitted until the visa is approved.

Anonymous participant 430 literally all the above you mentioned. It can be cosmetic such as an augmentation, it could be a bypass, it could be a new set of Veneers for your teeth. As long as it is a medical procedure paid for and taking place in Thailand it could be an option. Always best to reach out to the facilitator doing the procedure directly though and advise you’ll be looking to a DTV for it. Also worth noting something like a single tooth removal may be rejected as it won’t really warrant a five year DTV… that said, I’m sure somebody knows someone who managed it 😅🤷🏾‍♂️

Anonymous participant 430 as teeth implants can be quite a straightforward procedure, I would stress that you’re looking to take time with your recovery and looking to spend that time in Thailand. Whilst a tooth implant doesn’t take too long to do full healing recovery can take six months so you spending six months in Thailand makes more sense for the DTV as opposed to you just coming over for a one-day procedure and then requesting a five-year visa for it. I hope that helps and makes sense and I’m happy to answer any questions you have if I can be of help.

Rik Eran it's pretty much a work from home visa for foreign employed people. I don't use one as I have a non-o but I think it's great

Sean Tead I know lots of people here in the dive industry who use them so that they can work illegally and use an agency to get letters my or my local mai thai boxing gym charges people for letters and will even take a phone call from immigration and validate the letter.

The dtv is as abused as any other visa in thailand.

It's the agency who procure dodgy visa that need to be looked into.

Brit here.

Proving location is simple and you can provided a council tax letter, utility bill, drivers license, picture of you outside the house and a bank statement. All matching the same address will do wonders and negate any need for additional document requests for that part.

As for leaving, the official answer is no. You must stay in the same country you applied from until the process is complete. If in the UK when you apply you must remain there until the process is complete and you have an answer on your visa application.

Hope this helps and best of luck 😊

London tends to be 5-7 working days judging by others in this group who also went the UK route. Can be quicker (mine was two days) can be longer (heard people wait three weeks)

do you have company registration certificate?

Not sure what it’s called in the US but if you have a company there I assume it’s officially registered somewhere.

If you are applying in the UK you must remain in the UK while the visa is being processed.

You are applying personally using funds in a personal account so utility bill, driving licence etc. And after you apply you must remain in the UK until the process completes.
