Do London always process the DTV before the flight date?

I'm due to fly out on the 1st January and my application is still stuck at Pending - Awaiting Document Approval.

I applied on December 1st and have tried to email and message throughFacebook but received no response. Thanks.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is concerned about their DTV visa application, which is still pending approval despite their flight scheduled for January 1. Various comments suggest changing the flight to avoid visa cancellation, as the embassy has been prioritizing earlier applications. Others mention that while the embassy typically processes applications before travel dates, holiday periods can complicate matters.

Typically they do. I noticed they try to prioritise applications before the travel dates. But holidays periods are a whole different thing.

Change your flight 100% if you can. Better to reschedule then risk a visa cancellation because you’re no longer ‘in country of application’

Hoping you get an answer and response soon but if not I would recommend calling the London Thai embassy on the next working day nothing hurts by calling and asking and you may get lucky and pushed up a bit.

Good luck. You might get lucky and approved today. I am quite risk averse though and would change my flight if possible if no answer by lunchtime UK time.

You better change your flight or else they will reject your visa. They already told many applicants to remain in UK while visa is in the process
