Hello everyone! You've been helpful before, so I'll post again :)
I've applied for the DTV remote worker visa in Malaysia, and they requested so many documents. I even had to use a notary and get documents apostilled, and so on. Eventually, I managed to get everything and submitted it through the portal. Now the status is again "Pending documents check."
My question is: Can I leave the country and go on a well-deserved holiday somewhere else? I've already been stuck here for two weeks just waiting for the visa.
I mean, is this legally allowed, or could it create any problems with immigration later? I know it's usually advised to stay in case they request an interview, but I could always come back if needed. So my question is more about the legal side, because I can't find clear information about this anywhere.
I would like to ask a question and hear some honest opinions, if anyone truly knows the answer.
My job requires me to travel the world, and I need to be on the road constantly.
I came to London and started my DTV application on January 23rd. However, on January 26th I had to travel to Norway for work. There was no other option,
I had to complete the trip. I returned to London on February 3rd and I am now waiting for the embassy’s response, which they said could take up to 15 business days.
However, I will need to travel again soon for work.
Do you think I might have any issues because I traveled during the application process?
If the DTV is approved while I am outside the UK, would I lose my application?
If I do lose the application, would I be able to apply again from another country?
Thank you so much to anyone who can help clarify this.
bit worried I applied while in the states, but am sitting on a plane leaving now. my paperwork hasn't been processed and I submit a KUL-KBV trip Jan 13 as entry, none before.
What I'm doing is US to Tunis for a week, then Tunis to KUL. I'm worried they'll ask for more flights, and I'll be able to show them originating in the US after my application - although no longer being there...
Anyone been through something similar, and how did it pan out?
