I have AXA based on a non OA, it's not the best coverage but it is cheap and it makes applying easy. I have had it 3 years and have had an operation which they covered with no problems.

Im not sure but I applied for the OA visa in the UK and sent my previous month's Statement, hope this helps.

You don't need any funds in a Thai bank for a non OA visa

If you want holiday insurance they may need a flight number, otherwise it doesn't matter
