Looking at other post to get a extension on non o retirement visa you apply from home country. Fly to Thailand then after about two and a half months go to immigration and look for 1 year extension cost 1900 ฿.
I have bank account.
I have funds 800k฿.
I have accomodation sorted.
Yellow book and non Thai id.
I am semi retired. Irish.
But next year I will only be in Thailand month of February 2026 and July and August (60 days) and maybe a month in November 2026.
If I lodge 800k in to my account now.
Is there any way I can apply for non o and work it into that time frame. Or do I have to be in Thailand longer. Also can the visa or extension be multi entry.
I am trying to avoid using the visa exempt if I can as I travel more often.
I am applying for a NON-IMMIGRATION TYPE O RETIREMENT VISA from the UK and it asks to show income of 65000 a month for 3 months OR a current balance of 800000. If I apply using the current balance route how long would the 800000 have to have been in your account for ?
I applied through the London embassy. After they requested e-tickets to Thailand and a stamped bank statement from a local branch, I spent a lot of money to purchase the ticket and convert my dollars from my Wise account into pounds. Then they told me I needed to renew my UK visa because it did not have enough validity remaining.
I have been on a post-graduate visa in the UK for almost two years, and there are a few months left on it. Nowhere on their website does it state how much validity is required on my UK visa, and they are refusing to refund my money.
Is there any way around this? Is it possible to apply through the embassy of another country without actually being in that country?
Applied Monday evening 10pm. Tuesday 10am request for more documents. 1am this morning received an email of approved visa.
Highly reccomend Dowden Muay Thai in Koh Samui. I messaged them on instagram and they was very helpful throughout the whole process. They said they have only just started doing the DTV visa and have had less than 5 apply so far. They was very thorough and helpful. Would highly recommend. Wasn’t requested anymore Muay Thai docs so what they gave me first time round was plenty.
