If granted a non O-A visa , what documents are asked for by Thai immigration on arrival in Thailand ? Do you need to show all the documents you submitted to the embassy in order to obtain the visa or just the e-visa and insurance certificate ?

TLDR : Answer Summary
When arriving in Thailand with a Non O-A visa, travelers need to present their passport, the visa itself, and a certificate of medical insurance. The visa has been obtained prior to arrival, and the immigration officer will stamp the passport for up to 12 months or until the insurance expires. It's important to have all necessary documents ready for a smooth entry process.

you also need to show insurance certificate if it’s an O-A visa

Upon arrival you need to show your visa, passport obviously and certificate of medical insurance. You will then be stamped in for 12 months or up to the expiration of your insurance. It’s a multi entry visa so if you leave every time you return you will be stamped in up to the expiration of your insurance. Hope that assists.

I believe it’s. TDAC not DTAC and that’s nothing to do with visa it’s simply a digital arrival card that is now required to be filed online by every visitor to Thailand regardless of visa status.

DTAC is a mobile phone provider.

lol, yes, thanks

Yes, if you work it correctly you can make the O-A last two years. The second year is not multi entry tho, so if you leave in the second year you need to buy a re-entry permit before leaving to preserve you permission to stay.

That's perfect , thank you very much . That's the info I was looking for . So if you renewed your insurance when it expires and re-entered Thailand you would get stamped in until the expiry date of your renewed insurance ? Providing it's within the first year .

This is just my experience BTW , entered twice by air at Swampy and both times I needed to show my insurance and visa alongside my passport.

You get the visa issued before you arrive. They should send you confirmation of this. What you get at immigration when you arrive is the permission to stay.

Yes , thank you . I am aware of this . I was just curious about if you needed to bring DBS clearance certificate , bank statements , insurance certificate and medical certificate with you . You would obviously bring the insurance certificate and policy with you anyway. I just wondered if you had to bring everything else too .

oh, I see, well maybe you have everything saved anyway. But the visa is your entitlement to enter for the permitted stay. Immigrations job is to stamp the date of duration in the passport.

Yes , ok thanks . I just don't like taking lots of unnecessary paperwork because I don't take a big carry on bag . Just a small bag for my passport , phone , fags etc ..😂
