Are you sure it’s not risky?

What if he loses it all ahd doesn’t have any money to replace it?

What if he he gets robbed?

What if the investment turns into a scam and it’s all gone?

What if immigration says it needs to be vested 6 months?

There are a million more ways

So

I stand by my statement

It’s a risky move

Let’s see how it plays out

Good luck

With your age and a Chronic condition if you get insured it’s going to be pricey

If you get insured you will need to offset the cost with omissions and super high deductibles (฿300k) something like that

If you have a health insurance via a pension or something like that it will help

But in reality it’s not a good outlook for you

Now health out of HK Insures lots of people with chronic conditions

Pricey

Or you could just self pay…Christian hospitals in Thailand are the mid tier hospitals between govt and HISO

Good luck

The Non-Immigrant ED PLUS Visa is a specialized variant of Thailand's education visa, introduced in June 2024 and effective through 2025, designed specifically for international students pursuing bachelor's degrees or higher at accredited Thai universities or institutions under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI). Unlike the standard ED Visa (which covers language schools, internships, and lower-level programs), the ED PLUS offers enhanced flexibility for full-time higher education students, including multiple re-entries without permits and post-graduation options. It promotes genuine academic pursuits while addressing visa misuse concerns through stricter 2025 enforcement on attendance and reporting.

This visa does not permit employment during studies, but graduates can leverage a 1-year extension for job hunting or other activities. As of November 2025, applications are streamlined via the e-Visa system, with no major changes from early 2025 guidelines, though immigration emphasizes compliance amid broader visa reforms (e.g., 60-day visa-exempt entries and crackdowns on overstays).
