If you do an Out/In prior to your METV expiring you get 60 more days then you can pay ฿1,900 at immigration for a 30 day extension...during that 30 day period go to different language schools and take advantage of their free class prior to commitment...Ed visa paperwork takes approximately 30 days to complete....

Until you get married look into the 6 month METV, ed visa, 60 day SETV, or Elite visa....or maybe the 4 year smart visa

it’s actually the best bang for the price. You will go over that price in visa runs (airfare, etc), accommodations, visa expenses etc over a 20 year span...

The EV has made it through 2 coups, 5-6 governments, 1 regime change and countless protests, it’s the greatest survivor in all of Thailand...I would not worry about it collapsing after examining its past

Best bet is to fly back and get a 30 day visa exemption stamp then work on your financials for a future try at a SETV

It costs the same amount for both timeframes (฿1,900) but seeing as you have already extended for 30 days they will charge you ฿1,900 for the 7 day denial of extension stamp....
