Hi. I'm in Pattaya. I'm an American and I've stayed on a visa free entry 30 days, and already extended 30 days. I've been here about 56 days now. I know I can't extend for another 30 days, but if I go to Chonburi immigration, can I extend for another 7 days? Thanks!

TLDR : Answer Summary
An American in Pattaya, who has used their 30-day visa-free entry and has extended it once for another 30 days, is inquiring about the possibility of extending their stay for an additional 7 days at Chonburi immigration. Comments suggest that while a 7-day extension may be possible, it might come with a fee similar to that of a standard extension. Additionally, it's advised to prepare for a possible denial of the extension, in which case the applicant would be granted a 7-day leave stamp. Alternatives like obtaining a proper tourist visa through a neighboring country or considering a border run are also recommended.
It costs the same amount for both timeframes (฿1,900) but seeing as you have already extended for 30 days they will charge you ฿1,900 for the 7 day denial of extension stamp....
If you really only need 7 days, just go to Immigration on your last day, present them you ticket out of the country and apply for a new Extension of Stay at cost fo 1.900 Thb. This application will be not approved and you get 7 days to leave the country. But if you need more days, than it is better to do a border run, get a tourist visa as mentioned earlier or if you wish to stay long time the visa thats fits your purpose of stay.
Fly to a nearby country with a Thai embassy/consulate and buy a tourist visa (or whatever visa is appropriate for your reason for the long stay). On your return make sure you have 20k THB cash on hand (and proof of onward travel if coming in with a tourist visa).
