Your TR visa is only valid for 60 days i would check again if I was you. You can extend by 30 days at immigration office. If you have any thai friends take one with you for help. Can be very confusing otherwise....

Serious answer is you can go to Thailand if you have a valid reason ! Not holiday. All other visas are open for you to apply. Once in Thailand i would advise you to use a agency (grace) she can get you 1 year visas
