What is the fastest way to send money from the UK to Thailand, Western Union or TransferWise?
sorry. unrelated post to visa, i want to send money from my UK account to my thai account. is western union or transfer wise quicker? i just got a thai account so I don't know how long it takes or how it works. help is appreciated. thank you

Transfer wise 5 mins from oz, does vary all depends time of day etc cheaper than WU

Wise is enough for small time transfers. Big ones your account gets flagged and they terminate with no good excuse. Until 3 years ago their fraud systems would look to THB transfers with high degree of reluctance. I used until last year. Now they only have EUR/GBP to THB... BUT it's indeed the lowest and fastest way of transfer (they use Bangkok Bank has intermediate to send THB)

First transaction took a few days because my UK bank flagged up unusual activity ( no issues with that, I'm pleased they check ) ... since then , no issues.

it can take long sometimes, bank holidays, etc or since they changed the name some transactions have taken up to 12 hours but normally it’s instant 🙂

Western Union is instant transfer. Got 42bt to the £ when the rate was 43.5, £1.90 fee.

Direct from bank to bank is safe. Instead of 7 working days it now takes less than 12 hours but make sure you send in GBP. Better rate also.

I have heard with Wise it’s instant. I have not had that experience. I sent it this time yesterday and it deposited about 2pm today. Less than 24 hours from US to BKK bank.
