soyou think in Bangkok immigration probably don't care about TM30 but if they do at say extension I'll pay a fine probably. Is such a fine a terrible blot on my long term status.

Can I just stay in Thailand the whole 6 months, visa runs aside. There was a reference to proving need for retry.

Also for initial thailand entry is it sufficient to just present at Australian airport on exit a Cambodia bus ticket as proof of onward travel?

And do I need to prove accommodation booking for 1st 60 days given I never know where I stay.

it's a problem. If the airlines are not familiar with the visa options they will demand you buy another onward ticket at 60 days.
