Hi all. I'm on a 60 day tourist visa ending 9 August 2023.

I hope to extend in Pattaya as soon as possible (late june/early july) to allow island travels without interruption.

Is there a restricted window for extending or can I go early.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquired about the possibility of extending a 60-day tourist visa in Pattaya before its expiration. Comments clarified that Jomtien Immigration allows applications for a 30-day extension only during the final week of the current visa, whereas most other immigration offices permit applications up to 30 days before expiration. Additionally, a TM30 form is required when applying for the extension at Jomtien.

Jomtien Immigration does require a TM30 filed when you apply for your extension of stay.

some visitors I have went into Chiang Mai Central Festival and we’re asked for a TM30 today.

Jomtien generally only allow extensions a week before expiration. Most other offices allow 30 days.

Jomtien Immigration Pattaya will ONLY accept your application for the 30 Day extension of stay during the final week of your current 60 day Thai tourist visa.

This is only for Jomtien Immigration. As most offices accept the application ANYTIME within 30 days of your ending date.

note Hua Hin immigration at Bluport Mall required it to be within a two week window last time we were there.
