It is working, but not sure it would work for the DTV. We also survive off rental income. We just went the soft power muay thai route. It was easy peasy.

Yes it will feel like your well off. Compared to how you are living in the US. Your quality of life will sky rocket as you'll see your able to save money each month, while living really good.

We have kids so we get special treatment. We get rushed throu the expedited line, no questions asked. They dont even ask to see our DTV, they pull it up on the PC, stamp our passports. And smile us away.

I did a few months ago. Signed up for the 6 month Muay Thai course, submitted all the paperwork they requested, and got approved. Its pretty straight forward.

We did. Fidelity cash management acount. Applied at the NY consulate. And it was not an issue.
