👋 Hi, Any Australian here applied DTV with softpower? I am considering applying DTV with culinary class and after a bit of research I found a couple of courses in BKK that I could attend. My question is my husband will be travelling with me once I get the dtv visa. According to the research that I’ve done, he is eligible to be with me as dtv visa holder spouse as long as we show enough fund to cover in our bank account. My questions are:
1) has anyone done softpower dtv in Australia if so, how easy/difficult was the process?
2) In the case of partner visa to the DTV visa holder, do they get the same entry eligibility ie, can stay upto 180 days with multiple entries for 5 years?
3) I would prefer the DTV eligible culinary classes in places like Hua Hin or Chiangmai however I couldn’t find any DTV eligible culinary classes outside of BKK. Does anyone know such course outside of BKK? Any advise from any Australians who have done this would be much appreciated. TIA
Me and my significant other aim to move to Thailand in a few months. We make music full time which makes around 7k a month gross, though we are considering doing a soft power (we don't officially run a registered business, very DIY). We have always shared funds from my account. Since we are self employed and share funds, what is the best course of action for obtaining a DTV for both of us?
We have the 500k baht each and make a good amount to our (my) main account, so not really a money issue - maybe just in the wrong places. Is there a monthly requirement for how much she should be making a month? What are the exact requirements for a soft power as far as income and documentation? Should we apply in the USA beforehand or try from Vietnam like many have suggested?
I'm mainly just looking for overall advice to our unique situation, and a general best course of action. Any advice is appreciated.
Hi! I'd love to hear about NYC Consulate experiences applying the soft power route & a cooking school. Approved, declined, what school did you use? Thank you.
I guess it’s too early for anyone to have experience with this yet, but does anyone know if it’s possible to change to a different Muay Thai gym after 6 months of the soft power Muay Thai dtv?
I am looking for some advice regarding applying for soft-power the Muay Thai training route for my DTV visa. I'll be applying at the nearest embassy within the next week or so.
I currently live in Hua Hin, however, I plan to move to Chiang Mai in the next month.
I can get my Muay Thai acceptance letter here in Hua Hin from a local gym and apply (outside nearest embassy) before I move to Chiang Mai. My question is, will this be an issue if I get my Muay Thai DTV visa from a gym in Hua Hin but I report for my 90-day report in Chiang Mai, I won't have a Hua Hin lease anymore, I'll have a Chiang Mai lease? I am aware this is all very new for everyone in this community and things are very fluid when it comes to Thai visas and regulations.
I just want to get people's thoughts if this will be an issue when I report for my 90 day report in Chiang Mai with an approved DTV Muay Thai acceptance visa from Hua Hin.
A lot of people move around the country quite often from one destination to the other. I just don't know if anyone has encountered something similar to this matter.
Waiting and applying from Chiang Mai with a local Muay Thai gym is also an option. I just want to get things set up the sooner the better, less things to take care of once I move to Chiang Mai.
Also, if anyone has any good gyms in Chiang Mai that you can recommend to get a DTV Muay Thai acceptance letter would be greatly appreciated.
I also researched this community's previous post and could not find any relevant information regarding my question, this is the reason for my inquiry.
I'm in Perth Australia, I'm wanting to apply for the DTV visa soft power, I'm looking at either Thai culinary courses or Thai language school, I am wanting them in Phuket,
Does anyone have links to the appropriate schools in Phuket that are eligible for the soft power DTV visa, thanks
