TLDR : Answer Summary
A one-way ticket to Thailand is generally acceptable for travelers holding a DTV visa. While airline staff may sometimes inquire about return or onward tickets, having a DTV visa typically satisfies any such requirements. Responses from community members indicate that individuals have traveled with one-way tickets without issues, as the visa covers a six-month stay, and proof of the visa can be provided if asked. However, it is still advisable to check with the specific airline beforehand, as policies may vary.
If airline check-in/boarding gate staff notice someone with a one-way ticket they could ask for sight of one of these three; 1) Return ticket, 2) Onward ticket, 3) ‘Some sort’ of visa. Your DTV will definitely satisfy them.
The flight staff may ask you to provide one before boarding, they dont always ask. I wasnt asked on my visa exempt luck of draw guess.. if you are asked to book one to the end of your DTV time show proof, then when you arrive in thailand if you want cancel the flight for refund
You need to ask the flight company. Some of them don’t let you board the plane of you don’t have a return flight. A dtv visa doesn’t have anything to do with a one way ticket
When you have a visa the return or onward ticket should not be checked by airlines.
The airline checks are necessary for visa exempt because Thai authorities did not check these passengers, for visa holders necessary checks are done by embassy.
Incorrect. A return ticket is only required if you don't have a visa (visa exempt entry). If you have a any type of visa then you don't need a return flight.
