2 different friends came in recently with return flight past their visa date and nothing said to them at immigration.

In Hanoi recently as some Vietnamese ladies were passing us one grabbed a mask from her bag and held it in front of her face! Diseased foreigners everywhere😄

Is it easier to obtain a Non-O retirement visa while staying in a hotel or Airbnb in Thailand?

In theory Airbnb is not legal here because they rent for under 30days which is probably why landlords are reluctant to do TM30.

Just get all the requirements ready at hand and go through the process. It'll take you about 30 minutes, some of the sections are a bit repetitive but it's really not complicated. You'll receive your visa back within

Same happened with me a few years ago. I was fined 500bht but it was dealt with very courteously. There's talk of extending the 30 days to 45 soon so it may not even be an issue.

In UK it is very easy to get an eVisa on line. 60days+ a 30 day extension available in Thailand

The tourist visa gives you 60days + 30day extension. You can apply on line for an evisa which is returned to you by email then you have 3 months to activate it.
