Hello,

I would greatly appreciate some advice.

I'm a Canadian passport holder who is hoping to enter Thailand from Singapore on a third visa exempt stamp for 30 days (info is so conflicted on if this is possible)

My first stamp and first time in Thailand was for roughly 28 days, I then went to Laos for two weeks and came back for another 30 which I extended by another 30 days but only stayed an extra 15. On that re-entry the officer recommended getting a proper visa next time I came in (I did look a bit like a bum at this time, bad outfit and long hair).

I will have been out of Thailand for 22 days as of my upcoming attempt for re-entry. I would like to re-enter on Visa exempt once more and I'll be coming by Air into Suvarnabhumi. I can have 20,000 baht on my person, dress sharp, short hair and have an exit flight booked back to Singapore.

Do you think this is feasible? If I bought a flex flight to Singapore that left 7 days after arrival would that increase my chances and then I could just change the flight? Do things change for me if I get the proper TR visa?

I'd go for a more serious visa but I don't intend on coming back to Thailand for quite sometime time after this visit. It's mostly saying goodbye to friends I've made etc as I move on in life.

Thanks for your help!

Hello. I have a Canadian passport and entered Thailand on a 60 day tourist visa on November 6, 2023. I then went to the Phuket immigration office and got a 30 day extension until February 3, 2024.

I was planning to leave Thailand in early February but got hurt and needed surgery and the hospital helped me to extend my visa. They took my passport and BKK immigration gave me a 60 day extension until March 26.

Is it possible to get another 30 day extension at Phuket immigration from a medical extension or do I need to do a border run and come back on visa exempt status?

Thank you

Hello everyone. I am planning on arriving April 1st and staying for 3 months. I plan on using my 30 day on arrival and then extending it by 30 days and then do one visa run. I will have a return ticket and proof of residence where I’m staying in Thailand. Is there anything else I need? Will I get questioned on arrival for not having a return flight booked in 30 days? I am a Canadian passport holder.

Thank you πŸ™

Looking for advice please. I'm a Canadian passport holder. Been staying in Thailand sine July of this year. First 3 months on a TR visa, then did a border run to Singapore. Now as my entry stamp extension is coming to an end, I'm considering whether to do a land border run to Laos or getting a new TR visa in Laos or Cambodia and fly back in. Which option would minimize my chances of entry/visa refusal? Thanks!

Hi! :)

Hope to get some advice please πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™

I hold a Canadian passport currently here on a 45day Visa which ends Nov 23. Tho I'm travelling to SG for business between Nov 8 - 18 and then back to BKK again Nov 18 onwards. That leaves me only 2 days to deal with extension when it expires on Nov 23 (since 19 & 20 is the weekend) .

Would they approve the extension the very same day or next day if i go direct to the embassy on Monday 21st? how long does extensions take and how do i apply? A bit nervous as Visa ends on Nov 23 :(

It's my first time dealing with this.

Help on this topic would be very much appreciated. πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™ Thanks in advance! <3

We are flying to bangkok end of sept and in the process of filling the TR single visa - its asking for bank statements and photos of us with our passport in hands etc. I know that we need certain funds (20k baht) accomodation & onward but do we need all the other info filled in prior to sending it off / can we bypass some infomation, it seems very detailed for the short visit. Im a Brit and partner is Canadian - he is applying online to Ottawa, i will apply online to the british embassy - any hints & tips please? Ive checked the evisa topics & couldnt find the answer specifically to my points, ive chosen this way as i thought it would be simpliar than 'on arrival' anticipating long queues at the airport πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«

Hi everyone.

I'm a Canadian passport holder with METV set to expire on December 23rd.

I will make a last border run just before the expiry date in order to get stamped an additional 2 months. Will this last stamp be eligible for an extension of stay?

TIA
