We are flying to bangkok end of sept and in the process of filling the TR single visa - its asking for bank statements and photos of us with our passport in hands etc. I know that we need certain funds (20k baht) accomodation & onward but do we need all the other info filled in prior to sending it off / can we bypass some infomation, it seems very detailed for the short visit. Im a Brit and partner is Canadian - he is applying online to Ottawa, i will apply online to the british embassy - any hints & tips please? Ive checked the evisa topics & couldnt find the answer specifically to my points, ive chosen this way as i thought it would be simpliar than 'on arrival' anticipating long queues at the airport 😵💫😵💫
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking clarification on the requirements for the TR visa application for Thailand, specifically regarding whether they can skip certain details since they are applying for a short visit. Responses to the post highlight that all requirements must be met, including bank statements and a photo holding the passport, emphasizing that these are standard protocol for visa applications. Suggestions were made to consider a visa-exempt entry instead, particularly since UK citizens can enter Thailand without a visa for 30 days, which can be extended. Other users provided insights on their experiences with the application process, including timelines for processing and documentation needed.
