A brit? British passports get in no visa required for 30days. Canada has a paperwork trail.allways fill in everything you can,best not to leave a reason for delay or detail.

I just applied today. I had the same questions so I reached out to the embassy in Vancouver and they responded very quickly with answers. They said any time it asks you to upload something that isn’t applicable, write the words “not applicable “ on a piece of paper, take a photo of it, and submit that 😆

If you are a U.K. citizen, it’s not visa on arrival, its visa exempt for 30 days. You stand in the same queue as others going through immigration as anyone with a visa. There’s a separate section for visa on arrival but as a U.K. citizen (visa exempt for 30 days,) that’s not the section you would need to go to. You can extend when you are there if you want to by going to an immigration office and paying 1900 B

The queue when you get here is the same whether you have a TR visa, or get a visa exempt stamp when you get here. The only difference is whether the immigration officer grabs the 30 day stamp, or the 60 day stamp. Everything else is exactly the same.

Just get all the requirements ready at hand and go through the process. It'll take you about 30 minutes, some of the sections are a bit repetitive but it's really not complicated. You'll receive your visa back within days. Good luck.

How long will you be in Thailand for? They just extended from 30 days to 45 days. No need to apply tourist visa.

for the Canadian when I go the tr visa through Ottawa It took like almost 4 weeks so might not evenn get it in time , also I just did a screenshot of bank balance . They will defiantly want to see a out words ticket ( i just booked a cheap one to Singapore ) Also they wanted proof of my first week of accommodations I booked a week in the cheapest place I could find in bangkok with free cancel and once my visa came through did it.

You can’t skip any of the requirements. If you want an easier entry you can both enter on the visa exempt. Maybe you can change your flight to October because on Oct 1st until March the visa exempt has increased (from the original 30 day stamp) and gives you 45 days upon arrival (no prior application) and you can extend this by 30 days for 1900 baht at an immigration office inside Thailand. Total 75 days. The single entry TR visa which you are applying for is only 60 days upon entry + 30 days extension = 90 days. There is only 15 days difference between the 2 types of entry. And the visa exempt requires no application or application fee.

But they may still ask you at the airport in Thailand for 3 “proofs”

1) 20k baht in cash or equivalent in another currency

2) ticket for departure

3) booked accommodation receipt

Actually its not just a bank statement.

One of the criteria to get either a single entry or multiple entry tourist visa in the UK to visit Thailand is to show that you have a balance of £5000 in a bank account for atleast 6 months before application.

It can be more and for longer but anything less will guarantee you being declined.

Couldn't you use the 30 days visa exempt ( the no visa entry)? With the option to extend by 30 days.
