Do they check the Morchana app and Thai pass QR code on arrival in Thailand?

I've downloaded the morchana app and registered on it but it doesn't seem to recognise my Thai pass QR. Reading through past posts it seems to be a reoccurring problem. Do they check it on arrival?

TLDR : Answer Summary
It appears that the Morchana app and Thai pass QR code are not strictly enforced upon arrival in Thailand. Many travelers have reported that authorities primarily check essentials like the Thai pass, PCR results, and insurance certificates instead. While some hotels may ask for the app or QR code, this has not been a consistent requirement, and several users have mentioned that they were not asked at all during their travels.

No. We landed yesterday and at the airport they checked the Thaipass, your PCR results, your airline ticket stub (for where you sat), and the insurance certificate. The hotel checked none of those things, but had asked for information before arriving. Nobody has mentioned the app.

I never even thought to download the app and no one checked when I was there last month....

It don’t just show the app when they ask you and play dumb that it don’t work and you will be fine

Almost certainly not these days. Some hotels have still been asking you to have it, but few and far between nowadays.
