If you work in Thailand and are getting 40,000 baht a month, this will suffice meeting the financial criteria. If you're from US, UK or Australia the embassy won't give you an affidavit, you actually have to transfer 40k per month into your Thai bank account. The third option is 400,000k in the bank at least two months before application. An agent will rip you off doing something which you can do yourself.
