Do I need to cancel a three month education visa (first one - no extensions) before I leave the country? Or does it naturally expire. I plan on having another ED visa in the future so don’t want any issues

Hello, I have question to current DTV holders. Retirement Visa holders should report re-entry and pay re-entry fee when leave Thailand, otherwise the visa will be lost. The DTV holders also should report re-entry(and pay re-entry fee)?

I have a quick question about a DTV visa application.

I’m planning to fly to Vietnam Hanoi from Thailand tomorrow to apply for a DTV visa.

I’m currently a holder of a tourist visa which is valid for 6 months expiring in July.

Would it be possible to apply for a DTV while my tourist visa is still valid?

If not, can I cancel my current visa at an immigration office in Thailand?

Hi I'm looking for info. My Non-O (Thai spouse) visa expired earlier this month and I've booked a 2 week trip back to Thailand next month for Songkran and following trip, due to work commitments will not be until at least August then Xmas. I haven't kept the required 400K baht in my Thai bank account either. Do you think coming in on a Tourist Visa will draw any red flags at the airport given my passport has many stamps previously with the now expired mutli entry Non-O?

I have a non O-A retirement visa I applied on line in Thai embassy in Spain

Valid til 31st October 2025. Multiple entries My questions are:

1. If I arrive back from Europe, let’s say, October the 5th 2025 , how may days will I get if the visa expires the 25th same month ? 90 days ? Or….

2. After that , could apply for new one ,being in Thailand without bringing money to my Thai account? Price approx ?

Just a question: i have my DTV till 1 April. Does the 90 day reporting have any influence on this date?

For instance - you go 1 week earlier to do your 90 day's. ( you can do this in a certain timeperiod).

Does this shorten the date to go out the country?

This group is always useful, as usual! We are currently in Thailand thanks to an education visa and a guardian visa. However, due to the expiration date of the guardian's passport, there is a difference in the visa expiration date compared to the student's. I would appreciate any guidance on how to catch up on the visa duration and ensure that both have the same visa duration. Many thanks!!

Submitted digital nomad DTV application in Tokyo.

Was called in for an interview.

Went for interview and was asked for further documentation. I sent the docs over.

Was then issued a 6 month tourist visa by email for some reason. No explanation given.

Question for the group: does having this tourist visa now preclude me from immediately re-applying for a DTV using one of the other accepted categories? Obviously I will not be applying in Japan again.

DTV ISSUE: I am in Da Nang, they have said I still have a valid tourist visa, so I must wait until this expires and re-submit application. I have another month until it expires, has anyone had this response? Do I have to leave and come back to Vietnam in a month? re-upload all documents? pay again? Thanks!
