Bob Winterson. You have to get used to Thai embassy and immigration websites not being totally clear. The 800k baht is the equivalent in your local currency (whichever country you are applying from). This is a screenshot from the US Embassy webpage, about halfway down you will see the OA visa criteria which states "US or Thai bank statement....."

Most IOs you can go up to 30 days before expiry. You don't lose any days, the next extension runs from the expiry of the current one, and you use the IO where you filed your TM30

Only 15 days early, but there's no drama, the online reporting is working again, so you can do them from anywhere
