Hey everyone, I could use some advice. My 90-day report is due in 7 days, and I just realized I forgot to have my Bangkok landlord file the TM30 when I returned from abroad now 83 days ago. I’ve been in this condo for a year, had two TM30s done before with no issues, but totally forgot this time. My first 90-day report was in person, and the second was online.
I know there’s a 7-day grace period for the report, but I’m moving to Bang Saray on Sept 16 for a month. I don’t know if it makes sense to do my 90-day report in person at the Bangkok immigration office if I can’t get a TM30 for my current apartment. I’m hoping my new Airbnb host in Bang Saray can file a fresh TM30 so I can submit my 90-day report at the Chonburi Immigration Office in Pattaya within the two days after I move in. If the host won’t do it, I could stay a night in a hotel there to get a TM30. Is this plan workable? Will immigration care that I didn’t file the TM30 within 24 hours of returning? Any tips or experiences would be really helpful. Thank you.
I currently have an of Extension of stay with no re-entry permits commonly known as a Retirement Visa) reporting every 90 days to the local immigration office
I want to travel to Vietnam soon so my question is :
Can i buy a single re-entry permit at my local immigration office ?
I have a retirement visa that is due for renewal mid September. I got a new passport and obviously need to transfer my current visa to my new passport. Should I do the transfer now or wait until next month and do everything together. Thanks 🙏
Background: Anyone who has spent time in the ‘Rose of the North’ probably knows Chiang Mai immigration is notorious for being extremely busy with hundreds of people queuing per day starting before sunrise.
Lamphun office is tiny and barely sees anyone.
Question: if someone stays one night in Lamphun and gets the property to file a TM30, can you use the Lamphun office for an extension on a tourist visa or visa exempt entry?
It’s a 30 minute drive and rooms from 300฿. Why not have an overnight holiday to save spending 8-12 hours at immigration?
I’ve convinced my friends to try this so they don’t lose a day of their holiday.
Am I wrong? If so, the group will tell me quickly.
Apologies for another 90 day report question. If my original Non-B Visa was obtained at Chaengwattana, is it possible to do the 90 day report at another province for example Phuket immigration? Or can it only be done at Chaengwattana immigration?
Planning on entering from the US with a non OA visa. Will be staying with my son (US citizen teaching english) in Petchabun for approximately 3 to 6 months while determining where I want to live. How will this affect my TM30 and opening a bank account if I can’t show a lease agreement? Thanks in advance
I got an approved online retirement visa. Plan to make the move within 1-2 months.
Now, if I changed my mind and I would like to stay in a different place than what I've written in the application (Different apartment in a different city), do I need to inform them of this in advance, or can this be done after my arrival, when I'll go to the local immigration office to extend my visa to 1 year? TIA
Hi all, I'm planning to soon go for my first non o marriage extension at Jomtien immigration. It seems a complex process with a lot of documents.
Think I've got everything but wondering about house requirements, We have a copy of tabian baan for my wife, she is registered at the family home in another province. This seems the requirement listed on official sites.
Seen someone say they will need a copy of the house book for where we live too? (contact landlord?) another post i have seen saying they needed copies of rental agreement and landlords ID signed by landlord?
Anyway any advice about this appreciated. If anyone has done this extension recently and has tips or info please let me know thanks.
