a multiple entry tourist visa is valid for 6 months, and let's you stay 90 days at a time.

No embassy will approve a 5 year visa for someone planning a 5,5 month vacation.

you don't need a return ticket, since you get 180 days at each entry. Do you already have your DTV done?

for 6 months, all you need is a multiple entry tourist visa. Apply at your local embassy, through the e-visa website.

TM30 can be done online.

But if you don't have to deal with immigration before leaving the country, during each stay, (i.e. to get a resident certificate) you can skip both.
